WHAT IS CSA?
Traditionally, members of a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program supported local farmers by buying "shares" of future harvests. Paying for shares at the beginning of the year gives farmers much needed capital for seeds, equipment and livestock.
As the season progresses, members would receive their “shares”. Greenhearts CSA members receive a discount when they pre-purchase shares by buying a seasonal package. Otherwise they can choose to pay only when they receive a box, which can be once a week, every other week, or once a month. You decide!
Deliveries can be made to your home or office.
The perfect wedding gift, a way to teach children the value of food or simply the easiest way to get the best and freshest food, a Greenhearts CSA box is unique, educational and delicious.
What’s in a box?
Greenhearts CSA boxes contain environmentally and seasonally appropriate fruits and vegetables, with eggs, chicken, beef, artisanal products and flowers added according to customer choice. Produce is locally sourced from small, organic farms and picked fresh. Poultry, eggs and beef are pasture based, never from cages or feedlots.
How much does it cost?
A weekly box is $33, however there are great deals for customers who pre-purchase seasonal packages. Click here for more information!
