Our family has spent many years creating wines for several world-renowned producers, and is now proud to introduce the culmination of our experiences in the Jayse Wine label.

Jayse is a wine business focused on crafting a very limited production of high-quality Syrah and Grenache sourced from top producing vineyards throughout the California Central Coast. Our goal is to produce wines that deeply reflect the soils and climate from which these grapes are grown. We hope you enjoy our wines as much as we do.

WINES

Grenache- Grenache is grown all over the world, but most famously in the Rhone Region of France, and is used as the base wine for some of the top Chateauneuf du Papes. Our 2006 Grenache was grown in the Chalone Appellation just west of the Pinnacles National Monument. The limestone soils lend a slight minerality character balancing out the ripe raspberry and cranberry tones. We’ve added 10% Syrah to balance out the mouthfeel and give it more velvety structure. The subtleties of this wine make it pair well with anything from spicy Mexican food to Thanksgiving turkey, to beef or lamb.

Syrah- Our 2006 Syrah comes from Chalone Vineyard which is 1,800 feet above sea level just west of the Pinnacles National Monument in Monterey County. This spot was chosen for its long growing season and exceptional quality Syrah. The Syrah has a burst of blueberry and ripe blackberry aromas and is full bodied with an elegant texture and long finish. This wine pairs well with rich and flavorful foods such as lamb, duck, and filet mignon.
